The Kobe Institute of Atmospheric Studies (KOIAS) has been collaborating with the field of art in the KOIAS ART PROJECT. The 2nd edition of which featured Berlin-based sound artists Sam Auinger and katrinem in a residency program in Kobe. Akio Suzuki and Hiromi Miyakita participated in the performance and symposium that presented the results of their work. The day’s program included a lecture by Katsushi Nakagawa, presentations by Sam Auinger and katrinem, a report on the results of their residency in Kobe, and a sound walk by katrinem. The final performance by Suzuki, Miyakita, and katrinem was a special collaboration, with Miyakita dancing around the sound of Suzuki’s rolling cart and katrinem performing with a broom. The event was a special time of collaboration, with katrinem’s performance using a broom.
